Jurisdiction of Postulation
Article 5 paragraph 3 of the Law of August 6, 2015 on postulation authorizes a Versailles lawyer to postule before all Judicial Courts (TJ) of their Court of Appeal (Versailles), provided that they are also the lead trial attorney handling the pleadings ("maître de l'affaire"). As a purely agency lawyer (postulant), they can only officially file appearances before the Judicial Court of Versailles.
For example, in a proceeding before the Judicial Court of Pontoise, a local postulating lawyer from the Pontoise Bar is required to prevent any risk of nullity of the summons.

Agency postulation alone does not include oral pleadings in court, but for any substitution request at hearings, please feel free to contact the firm.
For postulation before the Court of Appeal, the firm handles the filing of the declaration of appeal (déclaration d'appel) or appearance for the respondent (constitution d'intimé), exchange of written submissions (écritures) and exhibits, and ensures strict adherence to procedural timetables with the instructing trial attorney. The firm will also advise you in the event of procedural incidents.
